Been cooped at home lately and for the coming weeks too. So the only source of exposure I get from the world outside is either the TV or the Internet. Was watching TV after lunch on Wednesday, tuned to CNA and found this show I Do. Very interesting show indeed coz it shows the whole wedding process of the couple, from the venue, arrangement, preparations all the wayyy to the food!
The most exciting and captivating part of the show was the food segment. Why?? well just say I inherited a glutton's appetite. This particular episode featured a italian groom andd slovakian lady. That's a hard combi from what I saw coz italians have a fussy taste bud and they are only loyal to their pasta and pizzas! Haha 1 interesting food I saw was cabbage rolls. What's so nice?? its nicely wrapped with a leaf and packed with meat, cheese and all sorts. Sounds like ur spring rolls over here. What's more its BAKED!! in cheese and tomato sauce I think... Yummy. The wedding was a day wedding style, church 1st then the buffet!! Their 'red packets' are handled in forms of cheques and envelopes of cash. So its basically the same as our local weddings just tt we use RED packets and no cheques! lol
What drawn my attention is the us of buffet for the wedding dinner/lunch. I really wanna do tt next time for my wedding and its gonna be this menu!
Still comes in 8 course (maybe I might make 9-10 course after typing)
1) Caesar's and Potato Salad 2) Suckling Pig and Peking Duck 3) Seafood Tempura 4) Kong Ba Pao 5) Dim Sum Assortments 6) Abalone and Scallops with Bed Vegetables 7) Yakitori Chicken Balls and Chicken Sticks 8) Spagetti Bolognaise 9) Durian and Choco Cream Puff 10) Birds Nest Egg Tarts
Hmmm sounds like it needs refinement in future, its ok coz I aint getting married now anyway, still got another decade or so to plan!
