Had been a lazy week for me... ever since after the Brooks Run last sunday, I havent ran a single bit until this evening for about 3km. Well, this recuperation phase is done with, its back to serious pump up for my July Sweep of Runs. Henceforth this July sweep of runs will be hereby pronounced as Project Tidal Nana. All Happening in the month July, which is 7 in numerics, translated to Jap is Nana. Moreover Nana's my other name. ..A wave of runs starting with the Milk Run 1 July, PAssion Run on 8 July, Mizuno Wave Run on 22 July. Not too much of a distance. Add all of them up its slightly more than a Half Marathon Event. ^^ Training Phase... A brief outline of what is gonna come this few weeks... Week 1 will commence tmr proper. There'll be a total of 4 weeks in all. That will be inclusive of the Milk Run which falls on the last week of the training phase. I will be going for distance during my trg sessions, NOT SPEED coz my knee cant accelerate and it cant afford to be broken if I overuse its power.
Week 1 => Warm Up/Shape Up Session
2 Initial Session of Jogs 5km each with no time limit 2 5km run with time limit of below 30min 1 5km Consolidation Run
2 Sessions of Gym Weights in between the Runs
Week 2 => Pacing Up
2 5km Endurance Training with inclined terrain 2 8km Stamina assimilation under 40min 1 1.5km Swim
2 Gym Session of Strength Training for Upper Body
Week 3 => Time Phase
3 5km trial under 25min 1 10km trial under 55min 1 1.5km Swim
*Gym Sessions if applicable
Week 4 => Wrapping Up 2 5km Run 1 Milk Run 8.4km 1 1.5km Swim
3 Gym Sessions for Strength
Diet Considerations:
Effective and Enough consumption of Carbohydrates esp. Rice which I tend to avoid every meal. That has to change to consume alil more carbo this time. Sufficient Sleep of 7 hrs every night regardless of duties and programmes. Alcohol Abstainence. 5 Light Meals per day, have to watch out for dinner as I tend to eat the most then. That's all I can consider for Dieting coz I dont pay much attention for what I take.
What I actually worry most is the sleeping routine and habit which changes like weather... unpredictable it is due to duty sessions and the alternating sleeping habit. Napping in the afternoon is still crucial coz it refreshes me but I musnt sleep more than 1 hr if not I'd be groggy for the rest of the day....
Met up with the shooting peeps ytd for dinner. Thanks guys for the bday dinner and present. Well i wasnt keen on alcohol after that but I broke my own code and drank down some alcohol in the end... Seems I lost the interest in drinking due to the cost as well as it hinders my training process towards Project Tidal Nana. Shaun, James and I went off to complete Hero Siege!! Haha Finally we completed it!! Lol. Had to cab home coz there wasnt any NR left to take.
Vesak Day, a holiday on thursday. Well the usual, went to the temples to offer and receive blessings. Well the food was good haha. Anyway away from food, got a new DS game, Pokemon Diamond! Haha nostalgic to play Pokemon again after intermitent breaks in between each version. Been obsessed playing with it since. Met up with Cindy after work for supper. Haha exchange ramblings amongst each other and got to learn that working in retail is harder than what I have done before.
Went with my colleagues after work on Tuesday to Jurong East Swimming Complex. Played the big slide and slacked in the jaccuzi. Haha there were many many people.. Forgot that it was the school holidays... So the area was pretty cramped up when there was a wave!! Didnt manage to get a tan though coz it was raining on an on/off basis.
