August!! This draws the attention of the locals, coz NDP is arnd the corner. For anyone who is foreign, NDP will mean National Day Parade not some hokkien vulgarity. Well NDP hasnt started, so thou shall make some comments on the observations prior to NDP.
The putting up of the National Flag, definitely few this year. Well at least for my area of residence, I dont many flags flying high outside the HDB estates, shops and other places of interest. What does this mean?? Citizens unhappy?? well cant be helped since there has been a rise of consumer prices, inflation of our currency, making it hard to cope with our finances.
The National Day Song, doesnt seem to be played often, to make it a tune stuck to one's mind where one can recite and sing along when the song is played. So unlike the last few songs by Steph Sun, Kit Chan or Tanya Chua. Their songs are still kept neat in my mind. Well maybe, schooling then was part of a factor that we gotta sing the national day song for tt particular year. But that's only a minor factor, more imptly, I question why isnt played tt often on the media??
Repeated are the genre of performances and 'highlights' for NDP itself, the parade, march pass, performances and fireworks (where we get to see our taxes burn into sparks!!). Nevertheless I gotta catch it since I got friends involved!! All the best guys!!
My course informally ended last friday with the final assessment. So I am just waiting for my posting to my future air base.... Recently signed some forms to vow not to blog of any info related to what I'd learned in my course, and the issue of contraband items. Well I find it pretty redundant to us NSFs, as the info we receive is merely tip of the iceberg, moreover what can we get out from the military in just 2 years of service. Besides, do I look like the type of those who will betray my homeland?? ^^
