Away for the Better... Nah... ... Maybe... (Part 2)
Tuned to Running In the 90's by Max Cover from Initial D
Finally got to Disneyland!! This is the 1st time in the 18 years that I stepped into a Disneyland. The initial feeling I got was that it was pretty small as compared to the themeparks I have visited in Korea like Everland and Lotte World which were much bigger. Many photos to be taken with your Fave Disney Chars like Mickey, Donald and Chip & Dale. However the Disneyland at HK caters to the young as there are many kiddy rides. The most thrilling ride would be the Space Mountain. Some highlights not to be missed are the in house shows and perfomances which are absolutely wonderful!! Spent quite abit to buy Disney merchandise!! ^^ A long and wonderful day spent with great and funny memories not to be forgotten!!
Day 3 was lame as there was the City Tour which i detest totally. The dim sum bfast didnt fill me a single bit coz the portion was small and very few dishes. So so so unlike what I had in Singapore!! Arghhh... Anyway went to the famous Victoria Peak for sightseeing where u can view the whole of HK under you. However, it was pretty foggy then so we cant really see much of HK. Proceeded to the Repulse Bay, named after HMS Repulse which got sunk in WW2 by the Japan's Navy back then. We even visited the Yacht Club in HK where we could see those rich's yacht parked there. Took a sampan ride along the coast which was a refreshing experience!! After lunch, we transit to Shen Zhen by train by the KCR Line. The train ride was pretty fast actually, slept on the journey since we didnt sleep much in the hotel the night before... Spent the evening after dinner at Dong Men to do abit of shopping there. Was there before with the China Gang during the last few nights of our trip and we shopped alot then too. ^^
The night at Hotel Felicity was a good stay as the room was more comfortable, spacious and had the necessary facilities we needed. However to call it 5 star is seriously unfit as compared to those in Singapore. Singapore's 4 star hotel can easily trash those in China. The City Tour in Shen Zhen was even more boring than that of HK. The Tour Guide seriously had a attitude problem... Well maybe coz the tour grp he had now didnt spend much or do anything, a bunch of slackers man!! haha tt's why he didnt have any interest in taking this group. However tt aint the attitude to take when u are the Tour Guide.
Took the train back to HK and we were back at our fave hotel!! haha, put our luggage down and proceeded to the City area of HK named Tsim Sha Tsui!! Yup many shops and the humongous shopping centre at Harbour City!! But the things are pretty expensive, just like Singapore coz everything was original!! Went over to Mong Kok area which was FILLED WITH SPORTS BRANDS shops!!! WoooHooo so so so many!! We were led there by a staff at the Quiksilver Store back at Kimberley Road.
The last day of HK, woke up pretty late. Headed down to Sham Shui Po to buy my headphones and earphones coz they sell it real cheap there but I dunno if it will last coz its not the real thing. Proceeded to Prince Edward where the shopping centre resembles Far East there with alot more than Chio Bus, even the shop tender looks great!! Haha the comics and model kit magazines there are really cheap coz they sell it at cost price with no transport fees unlike those at Kino... We were totally tired out by the walking during the 5 days trip and all that shopping and travelling... Phew...Back to the airport, bought a few stuff at DFS. And... Waaa Laaa back in Singapore, SIAN CIPUA, a step closer to Chiong Sua Days and also less Chio Bus around!! LOL
Harry's Pub is a pretty cool place to chill out. Its at Esplanade where gin, weili and I visited the other day.. NICE!!
