Bye to the Common Tests for Term and Hello to a short break this weekends.. An overview of the CTs will be that being unrefined and half equiped will leave you a pass and nothing more. Results will show in a couple of weeks time and my academic performance will be assessed in this manner. I had always thought of exams being taken like Final Fantasy VIII (fantasizing alil too much I guess, deviation of thoughts from the norm).. What happens there as many knows is the SeeD Field Exam where your skills learnt are tested field based. I am not taking wholesale from the game where Squall and his party gets to encounter monsters, but maybe a team of classmates formed goes out to do their exams. One can test fitness by reaching destinations in terms of running and obstacles, next meeting checkpoints for some maths problems, visit to a museum for treasure hunt and lastly reaching back to school on the com lab to analyse econs and monetory figures. What a dream to have for education, although it sounds baseless nevertheless it's pretty worthwhile to have such aspirations for the future too..
I am so FUCKING pissed off with what happened after Maths. I really mean it this time using the word, FUCK. The account goes, my class was to told proceed to the home classroom after the Maths CT. Being the last paper, many will be eager to burst out for the day to catch some movies, meet their buddies or just unwhine in another form. However, here goes Ms Fernandez getting us to stay back to go thru some stuff on goal setting?? character development?? blame culture?? future plans?? Is this the appropriate time to do this is a secondary matter. What I dont like about her is the last minute notice w/o an agenda, making us stay back, and worst, I feel it can be done another time. She mentioned you loose out alot for missing career talks and guides, however I would to question in this unforecast society, how can we be so certain that what we want to do may be obsolete and overtaken in future? Besides, career talks and Uni open houses havent started yet. Upcoming will be NUS Open House on 12 Mar, maybe she can try to get her dates right 1st. I was smiling thruout the session while I saw many glum and angered faces filling the class with an air of tension and flamable gas, where a little spark can ignite the building on fire. This was because I had been awake for 18 hrs by then. Next will be the part when she mentioned indirectly of not blaming others but yourself for what happens, I feel that when hiccups or successes occur, it shldnt give credit or blame to a single source. However, it's the interlinkivity and combination of factors which lead to such. What I can say is She has a very shallow mindset who is traditionally absolute when looking at things. That's why old get replaced with new ones, and a solution will be to upgrade such mindsets to adapt for new teen mindsets. She ought to be considered a hardcore person for the 2nd wave for that matter as Alvin Toffler(Professor, economist, critical analyst and writer) refers to as such. I will not follow and adhere to much of what she said as I consider as pretty unreasonable to my quality of life. I do seldom rebel that firmly to my form tutor, not even Ms Gina Tan(308,408 SJI) as Ms Tan was a much reasonable person to begin with even though she couldnt handle the class well.
Enough for now. Went to PS to watch Hitch with Yao Cheng and FuZZ. The show's really darn funny and pretty realistic. Some logic which speaks in the show stopped me to reflect on my directions and approaches in my pass relations matters. Did make sense for some and not others. With Will Smith starring in the show, haha laughter is what you get and not lamery. had lunch with Junjie, Dom and Eugene too. Apparently all 6 of us except FuZZ was eating the famous, long queued and tasty Grilled Chicken Rice. Haha nice!! =)
