Had quite a packed weekends this time round. But before that, briefly explain what happened for the last half of the school week. Went to Beach Rd on Wed to look for some ceremonial items for Farewell Ceremony. It will be done and finished soon... Had desert there too after buying our things. Went to meet Cindy and Richard in town, they didnt go Lawn Bowls, hahax slacker sia... Went home together after that
Went back to SJI for trg. Had a NAPFA training for those who had failed. Attendance was poor as only 4 turned up. But for those 4, a job well done and do continue to train hard always!! Went back home to pack bag for ATC.
Set off for SJI after school. Lee Pin called, wanted me to pass sth to Kai Yong and I was abt to leave SJI for Ubin. So she caught Marcus and pass to him instead, hahax if not she would have to come down to SJI. Left for Ubin, was greeted by Rain after Jetty, but the hike wasnt affected by rain.
SJI was a guest school at Area 5 Sec 3 ATC. A different standard and culture for ATC in Area 5, contrasting from Area 15 I must say. The SJI cadets will def. feel stronger and different after this Camp, as they tasted much discipline in this camp their previous ones. Hahax, Mr Lee was tempting me with how nice and better was Area 15 Food compared to Area 5. HO further explain tt Area 15 was Get Fat Camp(GFC) for the Officers. Hahax.
1st time in my ATC life tt I slept in bunks. Double Decked beds like Army style. Felt different as a CI now as I was used to the days as a Cadet and NCO. Any Trash I saw I would pick it up instead of asking a cadet to do it, as I believe in role modeling. Some CIs were very vocal and a few TOO vocal which I found them irritating if I were a cadet. In Area 5 ATC, the CIs I can say lack of total bonding I find, compared to Area 15, but they are all experienced in a way or another. My 1st lesson was Orienteering, taught the basics, common pointers to note and brough them thru a dialouge session where a possible scenerio of cadet asking NCO for clarification might occur. Had a good time going with this Chatty Group. Along was TO of Bartley who turned out to be Goy Sin Pang's(NCO 2001) elder sister. Had a great time chatting with her regarding some life issues.
Had a great time taking photos after the Camp Closing around the Campsite like the Assembly area, tentages, flag stand. Yupz, sang along the way back to Jetty with all sorts of songs learnt in NPCC and SJI. ^^
